Wai Canoes is a small, locally run canoe hire on the Ruamāhanga River, between Featherston and Martinborough. I’m Jenny, and I live just down the road in Featherston.
Boats have always been part of my life. My family has run a houseboat holiday business in Europe since 1994, so I grew up around rivers, canals and people discovering them for the first time. When I moved to the Wairarapa, the Ruamāhanga felt like the obvious place to share that same feeling: slow water, open sky and the quiet you only get when you’re paddling.
